Setting

In literature, setting includes time, place, and period. Essentially everything that sets a moods for the story. Setting is a fundamental part of a story such as Hamlet. The obvious setting would be medieval denmark, but the important setting is the dark and dingy castle that the play takes place in. The dark setting helps illustrate the depressing and chaotic issues at hand. Everything fits together. The setting makes the play. Without it it would not be the same.
